Jimmy Kimmel Live! host has been named the most dangerous celebrity to search for online, according to Mcafee labs. Kimmel poked fun at the news during his Tuesday night show saying, “They say that if you search my name [Jimmy Kimmel], there is a one in five change you’ll land on a malicious website.”
“Its an honor just to be nominated, but to win this thing [is even better]” Kimmel joked, noting that DJ Armin van Buuren was rated number two. “I have no idea who that was so I looked him up and now I have a virus.”
“Britney Spears in number seven. Usually it’s a woman on top of the list”, Kimmel continued. “The only other male celebrity to wind up No. 1 was Brad Pitt in 2008—so there’s one more thing Brad Pitt and I have in common.” While Kimmel jokes that this is one of the only times he has been number one in something, he continued saying he is a bit nervous as the media is making him out to be the “TV equivalent of the ebola virus.”
According to McAfee researchers, searching ‘Jimmy Kimmel’ carries a 19.38 percent risk of landing on a malicious website, and searching Armin van Buuren carries a 19.33 percent risk.
