  1. You call this an interview? There’s not even a name for the guy you’re interviewing. This is just advertisement. We need to know who this guy is and why we should trust his service. Hiding your own name is not a good way to present yourself.

    1. Hello Rob,

We conduct these types of interviews with all sorts of companies, including email providers, VPN providers and privacy based products. See our full catalog of articles here: https://freedomhacker.net/category/interviews/

In regards to this being an advertisement, that is untrue. FrootVPN contacted us with the questions answered and we went ahead and posted the interview. We like to get the companies terms in plain English, instead of having to read a 5-10 page Privacy Policy that may not make complete sense. We want a transparent market in the security and privacy industry. The FrootVPN owner chose to leave his name off the interview, we posted the information he freely supplied us with.

      1. You’re joking right?

Where are the questions about income? Where are the questions about business model and how this company manages to stay afloat? How about a damn -NAME- for the owner and operator?

I’m calling BS on this whole ‘interview’ as having been staged and possibly paid for.

        1. Again, please take a look at our VPN interview catalog. We ask the same questions to every company.

We is no way endorse any VPN’s listed on the interview catalog. Only in our VPN review area will we endorse companies. We strongly recommend users never trust a free VPN provider as the user is generally the product rather than the service.

      2. Understandable, but you completely overlooked the only important question being how is your service free? Big red flag

    1. They pay with with the money the make with all the data collecting (email + surfing history) and eventually the log cookies and login in your accounts (=profit)

      1. This is a statement taken out of the blue, You don’t even need to add your own email, You don’t need to activate cookies either. Its just a service provided through TPB system. Freedom fighters, and yes, we have unlimited bandwidth in Sweden and the servers arent that expensive. i have 1gbits net here at 5.99USD.
So don’t open your keyboard and unleash idiotic propaganda for the government.

Sweden, the only country in the industrial parts of the world that doesn’t need to log their history. Just look at Bahnhof ISP or Bredband2. They wouldn’t release any information about customers because they can’t keep logs because of the amount of useless datausage it would create. Therefore they can’t be held responsible.

  2. If you want to be ddos’d then i suggest you opt in for FrootVPN as i thought of giving it a try and all i got was DDOS thanks to my great firewall that blocked it and i immediately disconnected it.
Now i know how they pay server bills!

    1. Hi Marc,

Apologies on my end, I hadn’t read through the FAQ on the website. I was unaware, but the company went ahead and contacted us with the following, so we felt it was right to post what they sent over. And yes, it appears they did not answer the second part, again this was all they sent over. I can go ahead and ask again though.

But yes, free VPN’s are very weary. This is not an endorsement at all, we simply just wanted to post the information on our interview section we operate. I personally do not recommend nor use free VPN’s.

  3. It’s bs I opted in as EDDIE N. ADAMS did and my server running pfsense instantly started getting ddos’d i instantly unplugged the whole network removed frootvpn and did a 30/30/30 on the router all is back to normal…

  4. After free period expired i’ve payed for 3 month. No account, no money back and no support. Do not pay this guys they will run with you money. Please read their own facebook page and tweeter. Many people complaining that they got nothing for their money.
